Global Ocean Flux Study, studies the physical,

observing hydrography, chemistry & biology at a station north of Hawaii
since October 1988 to comprehensively describe the ocean at a site representative

& TOGA COARE. The World Ocean Circulation
Experiment uses satellites, ships, and instruments to study the
physical properties & circulation of the global ocean during a defined
time period. The Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere

studies the western Pacific warm-pool system: the coupling of ocean &

hours of the events. In reponse to a query, the data is dynamically accessed
from a USGS server in Colorado, processed into an appropriate format in
Edinburgh, and displayed using the Xerox PARC Map Viewer in California.
