Global Ocean Flux Study, studies the physical,

responses to, global-scale perturbations. Provides pointers to many Web

observing hydrography, chemistry & biology at a station north of Hawaii
since October 1988 to comprehensively describe the ocean at a site representative

- OCEANIC, the Ocean Information
Center at Univ of Delaware, provides data in support of two programs: WOCE
& TOGA COARE. The World Ocean Circulation
Experiment uses satellites, ships, and instruments to study the
physical properties & circulation of the global ocean during a defined
time period. The Tropical Ocean Global Atmosphere
Coupled Ocean-Atmosphere Response Experiment
studies the western Pacific warm-pool system: the coupling of ocean &
atmosphere; atmospheric processes organizing convection; oceanic response
to combined buoyancy & wind-stress forcing; and multiple-scale interactions
influencing other regions. .

Earthquake Locator is an interface developed by Bruce Gittings
of the Dept of Geography at Univ of Edinburgh, using USGS National Earthquake
Information Center data to provide information about earthquakes within
hours of the events. In reponse to a query, the data is dynamically accessed
from a USGS server in Colorado, processed into an appropriate format in
Edinburgh, and displayed using the Xerox PARC Map Viewer in California.
